Irshad Manji

Irshad Manji is the winner of Oprah's first annual Chutzpah Award award for boldness. As founder of Moral Courage College, Irshad equips people to discuss polarizing issues without shaming or cancelling each other.

In 2003, Irshad released The Trouble with Islam Today, an open letter to her fellow Muslims about why antisemitism and other prejudices must end in name of Allah. Irshad turned her international bestseller into an Emmy- nominated PBS film, Faith Without Fear. And in 2011, she published Allah, Liberty & Love, which shows how Islam can be reinterpreted for the 21st century.

She has taught at New York University, the University of Southern California and, since 2018, in Oxford University’s Initiative for Global Ethics and Human Rights. Irshad’s latest bestseller is Don't Label Me.
