Rudyard and Janice move on to Canadian politics where  Justin Trudeau is refusing calls to step down after a by-election upset that saw the Conservatives win in a Toronto Liberal stronghold they have held for 30 years. They then discuss widespread voter anger – from France to England to Canada and the US – at incumbent governments who are being blamed for falling living standards due to wage stagnation and inflation. They round out the discussion by addressing Labour’s massive victory in the UK elections – but warn that a change in government will not be able to fix a broken system.
