Friday Focus: Joe Biden tries to prove himself and Canada falls short in NATO
On this week’s Friday Focus, Rudyard and Janice open the show with a discussion about Joe Biden, who is desperately trying to prove that he is ready to be President for a second term. Is he passing the test? And in a struggle between the leaders of the Democratic party and the President’s aides, who will win? Trump, meanwhile, showed surprising self discipline this week by laying low and allowing the Democrats to self-immolate. In the second half of the podcast, Janice and Rudyard discuss NATO and why Canada is facing scrutiny from other NATO members over funding commitments. Janice makes the case that Canada should increase spending in the Arctic and fend off Russian expansion in the territory.
