Friday Focus – The Assassin’s Creed
Friday Focus – The Assassin’s Creed
This week’s Friday Focus discusses the slew of assassinations that have taken place recently in Syria, Lebanon and Iran. Do they herald the coming regionalization of the War in Gaza to the wider Middle East? How are the different parties from Hezbollah to the Mullahs in Tehran to Israel’s war cabinet thinking about these assassinations and the messages they send to friends and foes alike? And finally, is this bout of extra judicial killings stoking or in fact de-escalating the risk of a “northern war” breaking out on Israel’s border with southern Lebanon?
