Friday Focus – The Threat of Nuclear War
This week’s Friday Focus is dedicated to getting listeners up to speed with the state of nuclear weapons. We’re hearing a lot more about them in the press lately: Russia has issued several nuclear threats since the war in Ukraine started, China is growing its nuclear stockpile, and the United States is spending more than a trillion dollars to modernize its arsenal. Rudyard and Janice discuss how high the threat of nuclear war is currently, and talk about whether anything can be done to get the atomic powers to reduce the number of weapons they have.
