Charles is a human rights advocate, and is active in the struggle against contemporary antisemitisms, the demonization of Israel and the Jewish People, and how it relates directly to other forms of hatred and reactionary social movements. Charles is the author of several books, and speaks widely on these matters at universities, governmental organizations, and other public institutions.
