Sanger has worked at The Times for more than four decades, making him one of the newspaper’s longest-serving correspondents.
He has been a member of three teams that won the Pulitzer Prize, including in 2017 for international reporting. A regular contributor to CNN, he also teaches national security policy at Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government.
Sanger’s other books include The Perfect Weapon: War, Sabotage and Fear in the Cyber Age, and Confront and Conceal: Obama’s Secret Wars and Surprising Use of American Power.
