Justin Trudeau was elected leader of the Liberal Party of Canada in April 2013. He was elected as the Member of Parliament for the riding of Papineau in 2008, and re-elected in 2011. He has served as the Liberal Party’s critic for Youth and Multiculturalism, Citizenship and Immigration, and Post Secondary Education, Youth and Amateur Sport. Prior to his election in 2008, Justin Trudeau worked as a math and French teacher in Vancouver, B.C., and served as the chair of Katimavik, Canada’s national youth service program.
